Shamans often use skulls as symbols of spiritual transformation, invoking ancestral wisdom or guiding souls in transition between life and death.

In alchemical traditions, the skull represents the transformative process of death and rebirth. It signifies breaking down the old to create something new, aligning with spiritual evolution and self-discovery.

Skulls can symbolize a connection to ancestors and the collective wisdom of those who have passed. They are often associated with reverence for the knowledge of the past.

In some mystical traditions, the skull represents the seat of the mind, intellect, and spiritual insight.

Skulls are often used in spiritual practices and rituals as symbols of protection, warding off negative energies or spirits.

In some traditions, such as those of the Celts or certain Native American tribes, the skull is a powerful symbol of courage and mastery over fear.

In Mexican culture The skull (calavera) is a central motif, celebrating the cyclical nature of life and honoring the memory of loved ones. Decorated skulls often represent joy, life, and the eternal bond between the living and the dead.

In Hinduism and Tantra, skulls are associated with deities like Kali and Shiva, symbolizing destruction and creation as interconnected aspects of existence.

The skull is sometimes seen as the vessel of spiritual awakening. Its hollow nature is seen as symbolic of detachment from ego and the physical world, enabling transcendence and enlightenment.

The skull is a spiritual teacher, reminding practitioners of the need to transcend fear, ego, and illusion to embrace higher truths.

We recommend using skull pendant for those, who seek connection with ancestors, assist with overcoming one’s Ego, acceptance of inevitability of Death and overcoming the fear of it. As well as protection from negative energies.

DETAILS

Labradorite is an important feldspar mineral. Feldspar minerals make up roughly 41% of the earth’s continental crust by weight.
Labradorite stones have a labradorescence about them, which gave them a name. This means that these kinds of crystals are often found in thin, tubular shapes. While the most commonly found colours of these stones are white and grey, there are also labradorite stones in blue, green, yellow and brown hues.

These crystals have a pearly sheen, with some specimens of them exhibiting a schiller effect. This means that they boast a lustrous mix of colours as a result of the stone’s interaction with light.
The effect takes its name from the German word schiller, meaning twinkle or shining. It describes the gemological effect of aventurescence, which occurs when light bounces off of tiny mineral platelets found inside the stone.

Labradorite was first discovered on Paul’s Island, in Labrador, northeast of Canada. Labradorite crystals have been known to the native Inuit community for thousands of years already.
More recently, in the late 18th Century, Moravian missionaries discovered it. Today it is found in United States, Canada, Madagascar, Russia, Norway, and the United Kingdom. In Finland, a variation of Labradorite was discovered that displays the entire color spectrum. This special variety was given the name of Spectrolite.

Labradorite stones are as mystical as its iridescent, changing colours suggest. Legend has it, that once upon a time, an Inuit warrior saw that the Northern Lights had become trapped in a piece of the stone. It’s believed that he took his spear and struck the rock to help set the light free and back up into the sky.
