Introducing our one of a kind Deodar style pants, crafted from vintage Dabu resist block printed cotton from Bagru, Rajasthan, featuring various native percussion instruments.
Dabu is a traditional resist printing technique from Rajasthan, India, known for its intricate patterns and earthy aesthetic. The process involves applying a resist paste made from mud, lime, and natural gum onto fabric using hand-carved wooden blocks. Once the paste dries, the fabric is dyed, and after washing, the resist is removed to reveal beautiful patterns with a unique depth and texture. Dabu printing is typically done on cotton fabrics using natural dyes, creating designs that range from floral motifs to geometric patterns. This eco-friendly and labor-intensive art form has been practiced for centuries and remains popular for its rustic charm and sustainable appeal.
They are wide legged straight pants, with a low rise and elastic waistband. They are cut for loose fit - to provide a freedom of movement and self- expression.
Each garment is gender neutral and can be shared with your loved ones.
This pant features pockets on both the front and the back.
Keynote from Kārātoyaa:
• Please note, that due to antique nature of the fabrics there may be signs of past experiences - we believe it adds value and a meaning to the garments.
• Some naturally dyed fabrics even after lasting generations may leave colour
