DEODAR.009

Introducing our one of a kind Deodar style striped silk pants, crafted out of vintage indigo dyed tussar silk.

Tussar silk, also known as "Kosa silk," is primarily produced in the state of Jharkhand in eastern India. The silk is extracted from the larvae of several species of silkworms, particularly the Antheraea mylitta, which thrive in the local flora.

The process involves traditional methods, with skilled artisans rearing the silkworms and carefully processing the silk. Tussar silk is celebrated for its natural gold sheen and textured feel, making it a prized material for luxurious textiles. The intricate craftsmanship and rich cultural history of Jharkhand contribute to the unique appeal of Tussar silk, a textile that beautifully encapsulates the essence of Indian heritage and tradition.

Deodar are wide legged straight pants, with a low rise and elastic waistband. They are cut for loose fit - to provide a freedom of movement and self- expression.
Each garment is gender neutral and can be shared with your loved ones.

This pant features pockets on both the front and the back.

Keynote from Kārātoyaa:
• Please note, that due to antique nature of the fabrics there may be signs of past experiences - we believe it adds value and a meaning to the garments.
• Some naturally dyed fabrics even after lasting generations may leave colour
• Please keep in mind that all Karatoyaa pieces are Dry Clean only with the Professional service provider.
